MY PORSCHE
Last summer I saw a Porsche in Whistler. It was parked in front of the hotel where my daughter was doing an internship and it immediately stole my heart. THIS was going to be my Porsche one day.
It had a special colour blue, greyish blue, which felt just like the right colour for me, and it had dark red stripes. Not to dark, a bit dark, a brownish red.
It’s clear that I instantly fell in love with it.
Ever since that day, I see myself driving in this car through the mountains on my way to Whistler to go skiing with my children.
In order to be able to do so, my income would need a boost and I’m aware that this starts with a mindset shift.
I grew up with a shortage mindset in terms of money. “Money doesn’t grow on trees”. I wrote another blog on this last year (if you missed it, see link below) and I worked hard and still am working hard to change my mindset. This is how:
I changed my thoughts, my words, my behavior. Some examples:
- Thoughts: Instead of “the inflation is massive and food has become so expensive”, in my mind, I say thank you to my money whenever I buy groceries. “Thank you that I’m able to buy this food.”
- Words: I say, “I can pay for this”, instead of “this is very expensive”.
- Behavior: I keep a buffer of money on my current account, it creates a feeling of abundance.
You might say now: “Yeah, right, you don’t drive this Porsche in the mountains in Canada yet” wondering what you can learn from me. And that’s true, I’m not there yet, but, I’m going to prove you right and if you recognize yourself in my story, I invite you not to wait for my prove and start your own money mindset journey right now.
Because, it does change the game and, step by step, you will feel your new financial freedom.
Will you start today?

PS 1. In the picture, you see me in my current car and believe me, I treat it as if it is my Porsche, because I’m just so grateful that it brings me where ever I want to go.
PS 2. I’m in the process of creating a money mindset training. Would that be interesting for you? What would you like to learn?
