JFDI

A friend called me and told me a story about the best manager he ever had. He had send an e-mail to his manager to ask approval for something. The reply he got was: “JFDI”. He didn’t know what this meant and asked for clarification and he never ever forgot the meaning of these 4 letters afterwards.

He even recently wrote it on the white board in his office, JFDI, just as a reminder to himself.

When he told me about these 4 letters, I felt inspired. Inspired to write this blog, but also inspired to use these words more often in my own life. Why am I holding back, doubting, waiting, evaluating all options? I sometimes even don’t know why.

I’m not the kind of person that asks for help. But, as I hear from my readers that they benefit from my stories, I would love to grow my audience. I realise I can’t do this alone, I need you and your network for it, and therefore, today, I wrote on my own white board:

JFDI

Just F**king Do It!

This time, I do ask for your help. Please help me growing my audience and share my blogs and calendar with whoever you think might be interested! Many thanks!

What is your JFDI?

And then, you’re on your own.

Do you recall a situation when you were suddenly on your own? * Leaving your parents’ house when you went to university?* The loss of a loved one?* A divorce? There are many situations in which we all of a sudden feel left alone. I’m currently in such a situation. I left my job, my…

MOVE!

One of my friends is a cyclist. I never understood the fun of cycling. To me cycling is not particularly fun, a bike is a way to transport me from A to B. Last September, when we had some beautiful sunny days, I thought of going for a swim at a local outdoor swimming pool.…

DON’T STOP ME NOW (CAUSE I’M HAVING A GOOD TIME)

“Don’t stop me now” – Queen 1978 “Tonight I’m gonna have myself a real good time, I feel alive”. I’m cutting through every safety cord that I had left. I feel insecure, but also determined.  If I truly want to be free, I need to release all boundaries.I did the thing that scared me most:…
