It’s all for a reason

What happened to you lately that you can’t let go of?

For 27 years there was a beautiful man in my life. I loved him intensely. We grew together, and… we grew apart. Our lives took different turns. We still share the 3 most amazing children and became good friends.

Looking back I know now this had to happen. Barriers needed to be broken, to be able to cross borders.

Later, there was, very briefly, a man in my life. After a few beautiful evenings together he left me unattended, just not replying to any of my Whatsapp messages. I learned. I went deep down the “I’m-not-good-enough-lane”  and thought I hit rock bottom.

Oh, boy, how I was wrong.

There was another man, I thought we would start building something, but it turned out that it meant more to me than it did to him and I ended up with a one-night stand. It was followed by a quiet silence.

I found out that below rock bottom there was a swamp that was sucking me up. I started crawling, but of course, crawling in a swamp brings you in a position that is even worse.

To prevent this from happening, I gathered all my strength and told myself to STOP.

A friend advised me to read the book “When everything changes, change everything” by Neale Donald Walsch.

The book turned my way of thinking upside down and taught me that there’s only change for the good! It’s all for a reason!

I started floating, I slowly started swimming and moving to the surface again.

When I was in the middle of it, it was hard.

Looking back now I can only feel gratitude. I learned so much about myself and I grew to the person I have become. I can now say from the deepest of my heart:

I’m proud of who I am!

What is your story?
Can you float on it like I did?
Can you gently start moving again?

DON’T STOP ME NOW (CAUSE I’M HAVING A GOOD TIME)

“Don’t stop me now” – Queen 1978 “Tonight I’m gonna have myself a real good time, I feel alive”. I’m cutting through every safety cord that I had left. I feel insecure, but also determined.  If I truly want to be free, I need to release all boundaries.I did the thing that scared me most:…

GO! PLAY! OUTSIDE! NOW!

When will you finally step outside of your comfort zone?  Outside your comfort zone lies a whole new world full of bright and vivid experiences. I found this hard to believe myself. I loved my soft, safe space, but my creative me wanted to write and continuously invited me to show up. I had no…

MY PORSCHE Last summer I saw a Porsche in Whistler. It was parked in front of the hotel where my daughter was doing an internship and it immediately stole my heart. THIS was going to be my Porsche one day. It had a special colour blue, greyish blue, which felt just like the right colour…

A little gesture means the world

Last year I was facilitating a storytelling training with my co-host bestie. When he entered the room he gave me this card. It was a simple caring gesture of kindness and it immediately created the positive energy that we always feel when facilitating together.  Sometimes this is litterally just all that it takes. What can…

LET LOVE RULE!

I did an internship in Tunisia when I was 21. In the mornings, I drove to my work to an inland fashion factory. In the evenings, to pay for my rent, I had an extra job, working at the Ruspina hotel animation team, entertaining the hotel quests with sketches, dancing, singing. Back then and there,…
